Challenge
Huisartsenpraktijk Paleiskwartier wanted a new branding for their medical practice. They had just started as a new practice in the Paleiskwartier area and were unknown to the community. Their goal was to communicate their own ideals and establish familiarity with the neighborhood through branding.
Insight
To create the logo, I looked at the logos of competitors in the area to see what not to do as a medical practice and what to do, and from there, I developed an original logo and branding. The colors were derived from this research. I also looked at the environment for inspiration on the shape of the logo. What made the area unique, and what would be recognizable to locals? Ultimately, the curved Armada building inspired the design.
Solution
The final logo for Huisartsenpraktijk Paleiskwartier consists of the colors orange and aquamarine, which together form the shape of the Armada building. These colors also represent the two halves of the building. The logo depicts two different-colored halves, which together form two people, with one taking care of the other. This integrates the practice's ideology into the logo while also giving it a unique and recognizable appearance for the neighborhood.
Challenge
THYNK is a monthly event that creates opportunities and moments for open communication. Founded by two students aiming to make an end to meaningless conversations while getting to know people on a more personal level to learn new things from people with different backgrounds. The event needed to grow in popularity and number of attendees.
Insight
THYNK is still a new concept and currently, mouth to mouth is the main marketing channel.People often go to bars to socialize and meet people, this seemed like the perfect touch point with potential attendees.
Solution
A coaster in a bar is being distributed widely and offers space to communicate. It often gets attention from people that are bored, they tend to play around with objects on the table like the coaster. Reading an invitation to an event about meaningful conversations in exactly that moment of boredom, will convince the reader with humor.
